For the avid hiker, a waterfall is always an attraction. There is something special about waterfalls and each waterfall is unique in their appearance. Also, there is something captivating about the way the endless supply of water flows down the rocks. They are also soothing as you listen to the rush of water as it crashes into a pool at the bottom.

One of the the most visited waterfalls in Virgina is Cascade Falls. This may be the most beautiful waterfall in Virgina and some may argue the entire east coast. Located near Pembroke VA in Jefferson National Forest accessing the falls is a 4-mile round trip hike.

There are two paths which follow Little Stoney Creek for the 2-mile treck to the Falls. The lower trail is more challenging but much more scenic. The upper trail is less challenging with a more easy to navigate path. Either one gets you to this spectacular waterfall.
